Project Smoking

I think most teenagers light their first fag to feel that they belong to a group and to feel cool. Therefore I chose models who are members of a subculture and for whom fashion is important. The cigarette in their hand looks like a fashion accessory, and the reason for most of them to smoke is to be seen as a cooler person.  The drive to belong is especially strong in teenagers. Thus it does not come by surprise my models took up smoking as everyone in their friends of circle was a smoker and also as smoking was considered as a habit of elder and cool guys.
