The new generation, the new ideal in beauty is the focus of my diploma project. I work with a group of young adults who aim maximize the perfection of their facade to match social expectations. By doing so they become statue-like, unisex dolls. I would like to showcase the young adults whom I call the new generation. My goal is to describe my models as ideals, to strip them and take away clothes, hairstyles and brands that define and comfort them by placing them in an uncomfortable situation where the only thing that remains is who they really are. By cleaning them off, I purify them to show their sameness and also emphasize their differences, leaving space for free interpretation.
